Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies WhizzGate uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
Section 1What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits (SDKs). They help a service work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used. We use them sparingly and never to build advertising profiles of residents.
Section 2Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required to run the Services, such as keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, and protecting against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be switched off.
- Preference — remember choices such as language or interface settings.
- Analytics — help us understand aggregate usage so we can improve reliability and design. Used only with your consent where required.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Section 3Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| whizzgate_session | Maintains your authenticated session. | Necessary | Session |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Necessary | Session |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you signed in if you choose "remember me". | Necessary | Up to 1 year |
| wg_prefs | Stores interface preferences (e.g. menu state). | Preference | Up to 6 months |
Section 4Third-party cookies
Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies — for example a payment gateway during checkout. These are governed by the third party's own cookie and privacy policies. We limit third-party cookies to what is needed to deliver the relevant feature.
Section 5Managing your cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block cookies or alert you when one is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Services from working. Where we use non-essential cookies that require consent, we ask for it and let you change your choice at any time.

Section 6Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or law. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
